🎨 All-Ages Art Contest Guidelines
1. Theme: “Dreams”
2. Age Categories
Ages 5–8
Ages 9–12
Ages 13–17
Ages 18+
Mixed Ages/Family Group Entry
3. Mediums Allowed
Participants can use:
Drawing (pencil, marker, crayon)
Painting (watercolor, acrylic, oil, etc.)
Collage
Mixed Media
🛑 No AI-generated artwork or traced content from others.
4. Size Requirements
Max size: 11″x14″ (or A3)
3D entries not exceed 12″x12″x12″
All entries must be able to be safely displayed
5. Submission Guidelines
All entries must include: Name, Age or age category, Title of the piece, Short description (1–3 sentences)
Submit artwork on: Sunday, October 26, 2025
Submission format: In person only- 905 Saybrook Rd Haddam CT 06438 Sunday October 26th, 4pm-8pm
6. Judging Criteria
Judges will look for:
Creativity & originality
Interpretation of the theme
Effort & craftsmanship
Overall impact
7. Awards & Prizes
Prizes awarded in each age category.
1st place cash prize of $30
2nd place cash prize of $10
3rd place cash prize of $5
Certificates for all participants
Special mentions: “Most Creative,” “Best Use of Color,” “Judge’s Favorite,” “People’s Choice Award”
8. Exhibition
All art will be displayed at 905 Saybrook Rd, Haddam, CT, 06438 for public viewing on Saturday, November 8th, 6-9pm
Awards Ceremony: Sunday, November 9th, 9:30am as part of a special worship service honoring John Silvernail. Light reception following. Pick up of artwork from 11am-2pm on Sunday, November 9th
9. Rules & Conduct
One entry per person. This does not include the a Family Entry.
Art must be original and created by the participant(s)
By entering, participants give permission for their art to be photographed or shared on event platforms (unless they opt out)
