The January 30, 2022 worship service at the First Congregational Church of Haddam has been canceled due to inclement weather. Our next worship service will be held on February 6th at 9:30 a.m. at Higganum Congregational Church.
WINTER PRAYER
As the world around us is swirling white, God’s transforming power seems almost visible in the very air that buffets the falling snow. In the face of cold and storm, we have so much to be thankful for. We watch the beauty of the world through windows of our secured warm shelters with kitchens and stores of food, hearths and families, blankets and television, candles, and church community and friends. Whether we are together or apart, we draw strength from each other and the ways that we keep each other in heart and mind. Let us keep each other, and this, in mind: God remains our refuge and strength, our fortress and sanctuary. May you feel God’s presence and steadfast Love as you wait for the passing of this storm. May you feel safe and secure in your dwellings. May you feel the Love that binds us all together as one community of faith. May all help and aid come to you if you are in need. May God bless you and keep you. May God’s face shine upon you.
