When the call goes out, we answer!!
The lunch program at the senior center has been cut by CRT, to Mon., Wed. and Fri., due to cut back in funding and an increase in participation.
When our own Suzanne Wintsch, the director, explained the situation at the [FCCH] Hunger Banquet , Jack Murphy [owner of Jack’s Country Restaurant in Higganum] graciously volunteered to provide lunch every Tues. in April for approximately 15 seniors.
In addition, serving and washing dishes is needed by 2 volunteers from each church on Tuesdays from 11:45 (sharp) to about 1:30. Sign up sheets are available at FCCH and HCC. What a wonderful way to support our community!!
