school bag project!
We have completed 23 bags to be delivered to Church World Service during the coming week. These bags made of cloth, filled with simple school supplies are sent all over the world to children who need. This past year 15,000 bags went to Bosnia and 18,000 to Syria. Jefferson County in Alabama received 100 kits following a spring storm. School kits went to Colorado, Kentucky, New York, Arizona and Minnesota. Kits were sent to places where refugees were being resettled, to shelters for the homeless and to disadvantaged families in various places.
