It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of long-time member Tracy Thompson. Tracy passed away on May 30th, with her loving family by her side.
For many years, Tracy was an integral part of our church community, especially in our Christian Education program. She was a devoted Sunday school teacher, the CE Committee chairperson, chaperone for the Heifer International Learning Center field trips, Silver Lake supporter, and co-lead of the Middle School Youth Group. She donated her time to church fundraisers, special events, and spring and fall campus cleanup. An avid gardener, Tracy and the youth group planted the flower beds behind the Lewis House and all the yellow iris on the south side of the Haddam church building. Each spring when that sea of yellow is on display in all it’s glory, may we think of Tracy Thompson and how she brightened up all our lives.
A memorial service for Tracy will be held at the UCCHH Haddam campus on June 23rd at 1 pm.
