Although summer is just beginning, the FCCH Christian Service Committee and the HCC Outreach Committee will be collecting school supplies for Haddam-Killingworth Youth and Family Services and Church World Service.
Back-to-school sales will be in full swing by the end of July – please consider picking up some supplies from the lists below.
Haddam-Killingworth Youth and Family Services provide assistance for students of all ages. They will accept any donations but suggest pocket folders, loose leaf paper, crayons (any size box), pens, pencils, binders, backpacks, rulers, and calculators.
Church World Service sends school bags to shelters and areas effected by natural disasters in the USA and around the world. They are looking for specific items: 30 cm and 12″ rulers, 3-70 ct notebooks, handheld pencil sharpers, pencils (not sharpened), large erasers, 24 box of crayons, blunt scissors.
Items can be dropped of at either church.
