We are pleased to announce that Rev. Doug Clark of Guilford has accepted our invitation to serve as our interim pastor!
Pastor Clark, who grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts, received his M.Div. from Bangor Theological Seminary in Maine. Ordained to the Christian ministry in 1975 by the Berkshire Association, he has served UCC congregations as a settled pastor in Massachusetts, Maine, and Southern California; since 2001, he has served eight congregations as intentional interim pastor, most recently at First United Church of Christ, Congregational, in Milford.
He is married to the Rev. Dr. Mary Moschella, who is Roger Squire Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling at Yale Divinity School. Their son Ethan is a recent graduate of Bennington College in Vermont, and their daughter Abbey is a sophomore at Mount Holyoke College. Pastor Doug, who has two daughters and two grandchildren from his first marriage, can often be found hiking the Menunkatuck Trail in Guilford, where he serves as a volunteer manager for the Connecticut Forest & Park Association.
Pastor Doug’s first Sunday worship service will be January 18th. Join us on this special Sunday to welcome Doug and his family!
